Cold places - Poles apart

Over the past few weeks the children have been learning about Antarctica and the Arctic and what animals we might find there.  We have looked at maps and globes to find where these cold places are and looked at video clips and pictures to see what it looks like.  I am amazed at the children's knowledge and enthusiasm!  We were superheroes and saved the penguins when they were stuck in the ice and we found out we needed to warm up the ice in order for it to melt.  We held it in our hands, we poured warm water on it and we tried adding salt.  The warm water worked the quickest!
