Curriculum Celebration!
Parents pop in to see how much learning have been going on!
It has been another busy week and a particular highlight for me has been the opportunity for parents to visit to sit with their children and go through what they have been learning. It was great to hear how well the children spoke about their books and the different topics they have enjoyed. Well done everyone and we look forward to the next one in Spring.
Thursday saw some of our Governors visit to conduct a learning walk about Maths to see how strong the subject profile was and to learn how we teach problem-solving and reasoning successfully. The children interacted with them confidently and explained what they were doing clearly. Any feedback we receive will be discussed at our next meeting. Challenge days from Governors are a great way for them to see the school and how it is working.
Friday saw our Family Carol Service take place and I was thrilled to see some of our Year 2 children wishing to take part in the occasion. There is nothing better than singing Christmas carols in Church because it gives everyone such an uplifting experience. Everyone sung well and I hope enjoyed the event.
Next week, we have our Infant performances on Wednesday and Thursday at 2pm, so please make sure you have acquired your tickets and bring them with you on the day. We are limited to the number of spaces due to fire safety, so please be courteous to staff if there are no spare tickets available for wider family members.
Have a great weekend everyone!
