Raffle Time!

Animal Creations really make an impression!
Well, we have reached the end of the Spring Term and it has been a busy climax today with the Easter bonnet parade and the raffle all taking place. I have to say, I think this year's bonnets were the best yet, because we had some extremely imaginative and creative examples and it was extremely hard for myself and the staff to select a winner from. The children also enjoyed their Easter egg hunts for their own creme-egg size chocolate treats, which they collected in their own handmade Easter baskets.
I have included this photograph above to showcase the lovely Animal Creations that Year 2 have completed and the children have written specific adaptations that these animals can have to live in different habitats. Have you ever heard of a Capybara, who can glow in the dark and swim underwater like an Axolotl? The display looks fantastic.
Hopefully, all our parents were able to speak to their children's teachers at the parent-teacher meetings this week after having been in to see books and all had received the termly reports. If this was not the case, I encourage parents to arrange a call in the new term.
It was great to see Rev. Jo this week who came into deliver our Easter Assembly. She has not been in for a little while, but she certainly got the audience involved and the children were attentively listening. It is very endearing when the children repeat the prayer back, like they do during the Open the Book assemblies.
Remember we return on Tuesday 22nd April.
Have a lovely, relaxing Easter everyone!
